Register for ScriptCheckSA

1. Click the link in your ScriptCheckSA invitation email.
   If you have not received an invitation email, go to https://register.scriptcheck.sa.gov.au/

   The ScriptCheckSA Practitioner Registration screen is launched in your web browser.

• If you came here from the link in your invitation email: Your Ahpra Number is pre-populated. If it is incorrect, please contact Support.

• If you have not received an invitation email: Enter your full Ahpra Number.



2. Enter your Date of Birth, then select I consent to using Ahpra to verify my details and retrieve my email address in my Ahpra profile.

   ScriptCheckSA checks your Ahpra registration status. If your date of birth is correct and your registration is current, further details from your Ahpra registration are displayed.

   

   If the registration details are out-of-date, please contact Ahpra to update them.

   To change your username after registering, contact Support.

   ScriptCheckSA sends an email containing a verification code to the email address associated with your Ahpra registration.

1. Go to the email account used for your Ahpra registration, then copy the verification code sent by ScriptCheckSA.
2. In the ScriptCheckSA registration portal, enter the Verification Code, then click Verify.



3. Required for prescribers: Enter your Prescriber Number (Note: This field is not displayed to pharmacists).

   If you are a prescriber but do not have a Prescriber Number, please contact Support to complete your registration.

4. Optional: Enter your Contact phone number (without any spaces). This number will be kept private and will be used only to communicate with you about ScriptCheckSA.

5. Click Next.

If you are an interstate or international practitioner registering for ScriptCheckSA, you will need to indicate this with the relevant option in the Reason for registering dropdown, and manually enter your place of practice details for South Australia.

If your primary place of practice details are withheld by AHPRA, you will need to indicate this with the relevant option in the Reason for registering dropdown, and manually enter your place of practice details for South Australia.

If you would prefer to use a different email address for ScriptCheckSA, you can set up your alternative email address at this point.

The preferred email address must be 40 characters or less.

To continue with the email address you use for Ahpra, click Next to skip this step.

1. Enter your Preferred Email Address, then click Send Code.

   

   ScriptCheckSA sends an email with a verification code to the email address you entered.

   

2. Go to your email account, then copy the verification code sent by ScriptCheckSA.
3. In the ScriptCheckSA registration portal, enter the Verification Code, then click Verify.
4. Click Next.

Your username is your email address (either the email address associated with your Ahpra registration, or the alternate email (if provided)). To change your username after registering, contact Support.

1. Enter your Username.

   

2. Enter the Password you will use to access ScriptCheckSA, then enter it again in the Re-Type Password field.

   Your password must be between 8 and 16 characters, and contain uppercase and lowercase letters, at least one number or symbol (eg. !?&), and no spaces.

3. Tick the checkbox to confirm that you have read and accepted the Terms of Use.
4. Click the Privacy Collection Notice for Health Practitioners link to read the notice. Then tick the checkbox to confirm that you have read and accepted the Privacy Collection Notice for Health Practitioners.
5. Click Submit.

   Your registration is now complete. The registration portal displays a message to confirm your registration.

   

   You are sent an email confirming your registration and username. Keep this email for reference.
